International Biological Engagement Exercise and Training Project Officer

Key Role:
Provide wide-ranging and comprehensive support to program management in the planning and execution of international biological preparedness and response exercises in close coordination with the U.S. Government (USG), international partners, and Subject Matter Expert (SMEs) stakeholders. Specific roles include but are not limited to working in a team environment in planning for, managing, and implementing all aspects of workshop, exercise, and training effort delivery. Contributing to the development and drafting of client deliverables such as program implementation plans, after action reporting documents, briefs, and other contractual products. Coordination and tracking of large scale event logistics and logistics management. Facilitating and coordinating meetings with team members, interagency partners, and training event stakeholders. Developing and managing complex schedules for event planning and execution milestones. Providing on-site event management and implementation during developed training, workshop, and exercise efforts.
Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in providing project management support within a federal government or government contracting career field
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance (Active SECRET Preferred)
  • BS/MS degree in a relevant discipline from an accredited university (biosciences or preferred)
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, including SharePoint, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to effectively work as a part of a team in a fast-paced environment, including juggling multiple tasks and demands
  • Ability to anticipate requirements, take initiative, and perform proactively
  • Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Possession of excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to demonstrate independent critical thinking as part of a collaborative team
  • Ability to travel domestically or internationally (up to 25%)
